Senta Terms of Service
Effective date: 8 October 2026
Provider: Senta, an independent developer ("we").
Contact: senta@davidodejobi.com.
By installing or using Senta you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Senta.
1. What Senta is
Senta is a personal-finance tracker. You record income, spending and savings goals, by hand or by sharing a bank alert, screenshot or receipt for Senta to read. Your records are stored on your phone. There's no Senta account.
2. What Senta isn't
- Senta isn't a bank, payment service or financial institution. It doesn't hold, move or access your money, and never asks for your bank login.
- Senta doesn't give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Totals, categories, insights and exchange-rate conversions are estimates for your own tracking. Check anything important against your bank statements.
3. Reading what you share is a suggestion, not a record
Senta reads shared alerts, screenshots and receipts on your phone, and may use Senta AI (an AI provider reached through Senta's server; see the Privacy Policy). Either reader can get the amount, currency, date, merchant or direction (money in or out) wrong. Senta shows you what it read and flags the fields it's unsure about. Nothing is saved until you review it and tap Save. You're responsible for checking what you save.
4. Senta AI
- Senta AI has usage limits: a monthly number of free reads on your phone, and per-device and overall limits on Senta's server. Past a limit, Senta reads on the phone only, or keeps the share to read later.
- Senta AI can be slow, unavailable or changed at any time. You can always add transactions by hand.
- What you send to Senta AI is processed by a third-party AI provider under its own terms. Don't share images or text you aren't entitled to share.
5. Your data and your responsibility for it
Your ledger is stored on your phone and Senta keeps no copy. If you lose your phone, reset it or remove Senta without a device backup or an export, we can't recover your data. Keep your phone, its backups and any files you export safe. Delete All Data in Settings permanently erases your Senta ledger, receipts and settings on the phone (see the Privacy Policy for what it keeps).
6. Acceptable use
Use Senta only for your own personal records. Don't:
- misuse, overload, probe or automate requests to Senta's server, or try to get around its limits;
- reverse-engineer the app to extract keys or access Senta's services outside the app;
- use Senta for anything unlawful.
We may block access to Senta's server from any device or network that breaks these rules.
7. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 to use Senta. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
8. Availability and changes
Senta is provided "as is". We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, including Senta AI. We do not promise that Senta will be error-free, always available, or that what it reads from an alert or receipt is right. Always check amounts and dates yourself. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss from relying on Senta, and our total liability to you is limited to USD 50. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit, and your legal rights as a consumer in your country still apply.
9. App stores
If you got Senta from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. For iPhone, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms and a store's terms conflict, the store's terms win on what the store is responsible for.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll update this page and the in-app summary and change the effective date. Continuing to use Senta after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute goes to the courts of Nigeria, but if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer rights of that country still apply.
